When we received Beyond The Crescent Sky

from its author, A.L. Sowards, I was beyond excited!!! I absolutely loved book one and couldn’t wait to start reading book two asap!

This time we follow along with Ivan, younger brother to Kostya (who we followed in book one). Ivan is older now and an excellent soldier in late 1300’s Serbia. As he awaits his departure to continue his training to take over as heir to his grandfather’s empire he gets embroiled in a battle and is taken captive by enemy army, the Greeks. As he recovers from his injuries while awaiting a prisoner exchange he is brought back to health by the beautiful Helena. As they fall in love they must make difficult decisions to save many lives, as well as their own, overcoming many dangerous obstacles, calling into question their loyalties.

I just love this series so much! I love the period of time, the characters and the detailed descriptions of that time. I highly recommend you guys check The Balkan Legends series out! ! Book two releases today and there is going to be a book three in the future as well!
