Growing up baseball was my absolute favorite sport. I went to games with family and friends as often as I could, I watched but also kept a score card close by so I could track every single thing happening!
The Saturday Night Rehab Club was not at all what I expected. Denny LaRose injured his shoulder during a game with the Houston Astros. This team was part of the National League my whole life and the Seattle Mariners were American League, so I never knew much about the Astros. ⚾️
Denny LaRose struggles to try to fight his way back into the majors, and randomly runs into old friends. Crazy and Fat Carl, who are just as silly as their names, but they also are very dedicated friends, push Denny almost past his breaking point.
This book surprised me, I didn’t expect the friendship, family and love that mixed into this awesome comeback story!
I also loved that one of my favorite pitchers ever Jamie Moyer, was talked about and admired a few times!
