The story follows Ruby and jumps between present day and the early 2000’s. Ruby left her troubled childhood behind after high school but when she is summoned home due to her mother’s disappearance she feels compelled to return. Upon arrival she quickly realizes and is told that she is unwelcome. Her childhood best friend is also warning her that her return isn’t safe…. but uncovered secrets demand her presence and she isn’t leaving until she starts getting some answers!
