This book is a dark fantasy novel. It’s about two people magically bound from infancy. Gavin is the heir to the lord of the City of Highfall and Judah is an orphan foundling, raised with Gavin. Whatever one feels, the other also feels. They have a secret communication with eachother that the Lord of the City manipulates. Multiple forces are at work to secretly unbind Gavin and Judah. How will this affect their close and tightly knit bond? There are many secrets that both Gavin and Judah are unaware of. I found myself impatiently awaiting to find out these secrets myself🤣
I must admit that the prologue in this book had me very confused. I just couldn’t grasp what it meant. About a quarter of the way in, I finally was able to connect the two. It took me a few chapters to really engage with the storyline and I am glad I stuck with it. This really is a good book and is definitely worth reading if you are a fan of the fantasy genre.
