Have you traveled much in your own country?

One of the things I enjoyed about reading Sandstorm by Joyce Yarrow, is following the main character Sandie travel all over the US. Sandie Donovan is a survivor against all odds. My heart immediately went out to Sandie when her father rejected her and left her in a place for troubled teens to fend for herself. She ends up on the run and relies on her street smarts to get by. I was thankful that she found some genuine friends along the way, but it was heart breaking to read about her hard times.
