The Last Lap by Christy Hayes is a small-town romance book, perfect for a weekend read! Megan runs a small gift shop in Florida, she used to have the help of her sister, but after a tragic accident, she’s left alone to grieve and scramble to keep the shop afloat. She harbors anger towards Corey Westfall, the man her sister was briefly dating and died in the same accident.
When Bryan Westfall comes to town to try to make sense of what happened to his brother Corey, he’s met with a cold shoulder and understandable animosity by Megan. But these two are nothing like their siblings and soon realize they have a lot more in common than they expected.
This is a sweet slow burn romance, I have enjoyed Christy Hayes’s books before and am looking forward to more in the future!
