I don’t very often, but I do love gothic vibes. One of my favorite books is Dracula!
Beneath the Poet’s House by Christa Carmen is a creepy and gothic mystery.
When Saoirse moves into Sarah Whitman’s historic house after her husband dies, she immediately starts to find strange things happening around the house and town. Sarah Whitman was engaged to Edgar Allen Poe and Saoirse is finds herself inspired enough to give up her cozy little mystery stories and write actual poetry!
She is happy to make some new friends and even a love interest that has somehow pushed his way into her life, but she sometimes finds herself wondering if any of this makes sense.
As strange coincidences happen, you won’t want to put this down to find out what is really going on here.
