Home Sweet Mess by Allison Ashley was exactly what I needed after a long work week. The story starts out with Jeni Bishop trying to enjoy her morning coffee, but this is challenging to do when the soundtrack of her neighbor’s most recent hook up… just doesn’t stop.
As she heads out to work she awkwardly makes eye contact with the guy running out of the neighbor’s house and she hopes she never sees him again. Guess what. She sees him again. Many many times, that day alone!
Logan and Jeni starts as enemies to lovers story, but there is so much more to this book. Jeni has a heart for foster kids and helps find homes for children through the state. Logan was a foster child for many years and started his own foster program. He didn’t speak about this with Jeni or anyone else because of his lingering pain.
Logan is the social media director for the Kansas City Chiefs, Alyssa is gonna love this book! She took this awesome photo with one her prized jerseys!
