Do you judge a book by its cover?

I do quite frequently, in fact it’s one of my favorite things to do!😁

So of course, I assumed this pretty cover was going to be about gardening or a flower shop. 🌸

Instead I was introduced to Lucy who while living in the south during the 1960s and was devastated to find out her father was involved with the KKK and not at all the person she always thought he was.

Honeysuckle Holiday by Kathleen M Jacobs is a quick read, but it has so much depth and personality, I was immediately drawn into this book and it kept my attention the entire time.

I found this book to be extremely relevant with the events happening right now and watching this young girl struggle with her own prejudices, I appreciated that she was able to grow and recognize that she was part of this issue.

@kathleenm.jacobs is a very talented writer, I highly recommend this beautifully written book
