Do you have a favorite pastry?

I can’t ever choose! This was the most delicious almond croissant at the cutest little cafe with seating overlooking the Puget Sound.

Rashida Howard in The Hookup Dilemma has my dream job! She’s a food critic and she has to sample everyone’s food at dinner, which I do anyway, but I really should get paid to do it!

I adored Rashida as she fiercely fought to keep her grandmother’s community from being taken over by a big company trying to develop the area. She heads to a bar after failing to reach anyone at this company and meets a man that she has instant chemistry with. They have a one-night stand and she ducks out early the next morning so she won’t have to see him again. But you know she’s going to! And it works out in the most satisfying way! Elliot Quinn has his own architectural firm, but his father’s health has been quickly declining and he’s had to jump to help save his father’s company.

He has no way to contact Rashida but knows he wants to see her again soon. Unfortunately for Elliot, he becomes public enemy number 1, when she finds out it’s his father’s business trying to destroy her grandmother’s community.

This is exactly what I want from a romcom! It’s cute, it’s spicy, and has some real feeling to it!

I hope hope you get a chance to read this one! Thank you so much to @tlcbooktours for this Advance Reader Copy!

Looks like a fun read. Don’t have a fave pastry but the blackberry and pistachio cake at Caffe L’Eto on the King’s Road in London is my “I need a sugar hit” go to treat.
