I adore a sweet hometown story, but I especially enjoy a Jane Austen retelling.
I am so happy I had the chance to read both books, Matched in Merriweather and Uncovered in Merriweather by Michelle Cox.
I always know I’m going to enjoy a book by this author, but these cozy hometown stories just made my heart happy! Matched in Merriweather I was introduced to a fun group of characters. I adored Melody Merriweather and her love for her father and drive to save their family’s general store.
Then in Uncovered in Merriweather, you learn more about a couple of other characters, and I really had a heart for Kate. She was abandoned or maybe just lost at a young age and adopted by a wonderful family that truly loves her, but she struggled with identity. As she tries to find her family, she realizes she really has everything she needs back at home.
Melody is back and everything you hope for her really wraps up beautifully! I think anyone who loves Jane Austen is going to adore these two books!
Thank you @tlcbooktours for these gifted copies!
