Did you have a pet growing up?

Luna Skylar has a pet hedgehog named Thistle. I had didn’t have a favorite pet but I did have a very odd ferret, it was smelly and not very nice.

Fireflies Dancing in the Night by Kathleen Jacobs gave me a dreamy nostalgic feeling.

Luna’s heroes are Amelia Earhart and Mary Lou Retton. Like Luna, I would always do tricks and pretend anything narrow was a balance beam, thinking one day I would make it to the Olympics!

As Luna gets spring fever, she can’t wait for her summer road trip. She gives me Anne Shirley vibes with her adventurous spirit and beautiful imagination. There are cute illustrations throughout the book, it was a true delight to read Fireflies Dancing in the Night.
