Bright Burning Things by Lisa Harding is a touching story of Sonya, a young single mother in the grips of alcohol addiction. She has rapidly fallen deep into alcoholism and has become a danger to her 4 yr old son. Finally her neighbor alerts Sonya’s long estranged father and he steps in before the authorities are called. He gives her an ultimatum: voluntarily submit to rehab or lose her son. We follow her through her recovery as she works tirelessly to win her son back and discovers her true strength.
