What was the last book that kept you up reading at night?

Veil of Doubt by Sharon Virts was one I absolutely could not put down! This is a historical court room drama based in the late 1800s in Virginia. After Emily Lloyd’s youngest daughter dies, she’s accused of murdering her. While this seems a bit outrageous, this is her fourth child to have died and now people can’t help but blame her.

She is completely distraught and horrified that that she would be accused of murder while mourning the loss of her last child. However, there’s more, both her abusive husband and her mother in law died in a suspicious way. As she is put on trial and the story unfolds, you just can’t quite figure out what is going on or who is telling the truth.

@sharonvirtsbooks is a brilliant storyteller, I can’t encourage you enough to pick up her book! Thank you for this gifted copy!

Veil of Doubt was published last week and is available on our Amazon storefront!
