This author is quickly becoming one of my new faves! I was first introduced to her work when her book, When We Were Mermaids, was highly recommended to me. When we found out we had the opportunity for reviewing this book, we both freaked out and enthusiastically said YES!!!
The Lost Girls Of Devon is an intricate look at the relationships between four generations of women. Zoe was abandoned by her mother when she was very young. She was left to be raised by her grandmother (to whom she remains extremely close) and later on, her father. Now she is grown with a teenage daughter herself when life forces her to return to her roots...and face the mother that abandoned her long ago.
Meanwhile, her childhood best friend has gone missing...along with another woman from the same village.
Will Zoe be able to find her best friend and will she be able to find it in her heart to forgive the mother that so desperately seeks forgiveness?
This story has many layers that beg to be explored! This is one that I can confidently recommend to all types of readers! I am definitely going to read more from this author and can’t wait to dive into another one of her stories!
