I always find them interesting, especially when different cultures add to the drama. When the Das family loses their youngest daughter in a fatal car accident, they all grieve in their own ways, but it eventually tears the family apart. Keya Das’s Second Act is a slower read, but with the depth you want from this type of book. It’s set around a Bengali community in the New Jersey suburbs. There is some humor and a lot of growth in each character.
I enjoyed this book and would encourage people to read it, it’s heartfelt, meaningful and surrounded by the love of family.
