We would love to read more, but sometimes the genre doesn’t fit with our typical taste.  I was thrilled to read The Gardens of Byzantium by  J.F. Hughes!

This is a beautifully written tragic tale, based on historical events.  Set in 600 A. D. the Persian and Byzantine empires are at war, but this story focuses on Asana and Antonius, they couldn’t be more opposite, except the compassion in their hearts.  Asana is the daughter of a Persian commander and Antonius is the enemy.  You may think you know where this story is going, but you’re wrong!

I hope you get a chance to check out this exciting book!  It’s a quick read, but has amazing depth and details, it will leave you wanting more!

Thank you @ckpublicity for this gifted copy!

The Gardens of Byzantium published last year and is available on our Amazon storefront!
