Do you like Filipino food?

I love the typical pancit and lumpia, but sinigang and sabao are always my fave!

A Hundred Silent Ways was beautifully written by Mari Jojie. When Kate’s husband asks for a divorce, she quickly leaves the country and heads to Manila to get in touch with her estranged father. While in Tokyo for her layover she meets Liam, and they are immediately drawn towards each other. Liam has recently lost his hearing, but they quickly are able to communicate through other ways.

I love that Kate learns sign language and tries her best to communicate with Liam the way that he prefers. After this brief meeting, her husband seems to have changed his mind and is asking her to come home.

The turmoil feels real and the book reads very quickly, I genuinely enjoyed this! I felt connected to these characters, and could feel all of the emotions Kate was going through.
