The Lightening Bottles was super nostalgic for me, especially growing up in the 90s in Seattle. Even though I didn’t listen to grunge or rock I was very aware of it and went to many backyard band performances.
I was busy listening to Britney Spears and En Vogue but I had friends that would take me along to listen to live bands.
The Lightening Bottles is a behind the scenes look into the chaotic music industry of the 90s. Jane and Elijah have a deep love and rely on each other for support when they create new group the Lightening Bottles, but life and their own issues are always in the way.
This is my second book by Marissa Stapely and it’s easy to get invested in her stories!
This book was so convincing I had to look up if this was a real band!
