Could you live in a small town on a farm?

Maybe you already do!

I am not a huge city girl, but I could totally live downtown in a major city and be happy. I don’t think I would enjoy living on a farm, so I could totally relate to Rayna the main character of Silver Heights by J.L.Cole. She married her husband Ethan rather quickly and ended up on his family farm in Silver Heights and life was not what she expected, at all. Her mother-in-law was not welcoming, she did not get along with the animals and Ethan’s ex-girlfriend is now moving back to Silver Heights.

I truly enjoyed this book, I was extremely annoyed with Carol the mother-in-law and wouldn’t have been able to put with as much as Rayna did. When Rayna decided to take up writing, I couldn’t help but wonder if her feelings were similar to the author’s own struggles and thoughts. If you enjoy character depth and relationships, you will love this book too!
