Carrie Beamer sent us a copy of her young adult book Keep What Remains and we are so grateful!

Fun fact- Carrie is from my hometown of Kansas City, Mo and I love supporting a fellow Missourian!

In her book, we get to travel back to our high school days with Megan and her best friend Tessa. The best part is that the story is set in the 1980’s...the best era ever! I really enjoyed all of the 80’s references throughout the book.

Megan and Tessa deal with all of the typical teenage drama. Boys, school, boys, hair, boys, makeup, boys. They soon start dating a pair of best friends and life seems perfect for awhile. Then sadly, tragedy strikes. This tragedy will test the limits of their friendship when they really need each other more than they ever have.

This book about friendship, love and heartache is a touching story about how true friendship can weather any storm.
