Are you looking for a compelling read?

I knew just from the title, An Unthinkable Thing by Nicole Lundrigan, wasn’t going to be a typical read.

Thomas Ware is an 11 year old boy, the world has not been good to, he’s trying to understand why life is so hard and how people can be so cruel. My heart deeply connected to Tommie and I wanted to take him in and take care of him.

He suddenly finds himself on trial for murder and while he tries to defend himself, all evidence appears to point to him. This is a coming of age story and many dark secrets are slowly revealed as the trial goes on. It actually reminded me a little of Where the Crawdads Sing – in the best way. I didn’t want to put this book down, I was a little nervous about where it was going, but I think the writing was excellent and wrapped the story up seamlessly.
